When you are starting out, don’t go looking for a “secret niche” that no one else is selling to. Instead, start with what you’re good at or what’s interesting to you.
Find products in that are you’re interested in and see if those products are selling. Here are three things you can do to help you find your niche market.
- Look at popular affiliate networks like JVZoo, ClickBank, or Commission Junction.
- Head to YouTube and look for keywords that may be used for the niche you are contemplating.
- Use Google and Google Keyword Tool to do the same keyword search.
Keep in mind, if you can’t find any other affiliates in that niche, then the chances are high that you are probably focusing on the wrong niche market.
Don’t Become Everything To Everybody

I’ve learned in my experiences that you is a bad idea to be everything to everybody. Not only it will drain you emotionally but your market will become confused about what you do.
There are three kinds of affiliate marketer you’ll want to become. But as a beginner in affiliate marketing, it is crucial that you only pick one of these.
After you’ve been doing it for a while, you can choose to branch out into the other kinds if you wish.
As a reviewer, you would purchase products to review. After thoroughly testing the product, you would post the review on your blog, YouTube channel or social media.
It is important that you form your own opinions about the product and provide honest, ethical reviews in the form of a video or written content.
To do this efficiently, you have to go through the product and get a feel for the pros and cons and provide authentic feedback as one user to another.
By doing this, you can better engage with potential visitors, giving good recommendations for the products you are reviewing.
As a product review, you should own or have access to the following tools:
- A good computer with decent speed.
- An external good microphone and webcam.
- PowerPoint, or an equivalent product.
- Your own domain name for your website.
- Social media automation tools like Hootsuite.
- A budget to buy new products.
- A way to track the movements of your visitors.
- A way to track each click.

This is why you’ll want to be prepare with an informational lead magnet web page. So that you can capture your visitors information and follow up. The money is in the follow up. Always remember that!
Step 3: Position Yourself As The Go-To-Person
Your website is going to be informative. If your visitors have a problem, you’re going to give them the solution to their problem. You’re going to offer real value. Here’s the trick.
There’s work being done subconsciously. You see, what you’re doing is giving good information and simultaniously you’re showing them you can help them. Visitors are starting to trust you and therefore they’ll like you.
So when they think of their problem, who do you think they’re coming back to?… That’s right… YOU!
This way, they got what they came for but you also opened their minds to something better. That’s the result of good marketing.
Otherwise, you’re just being a reporter by giving them the stuff that they came for without getting anything in return. You’re not going to make money as an affiliate if you do that. Always think to position yourself as the go-to-person.

With each supporting piece of content that you link to your website, you are drawing the prospect deeper and deeper into the conversion funnel. You have to understand that there’s going to be a lot of people reading your stuff.
But at the end of the process, only a very few will read article after article until they reach a sales page. Those are the people that you are trying to reach.
Those are the people that you’re trying to convert. You do this by making sure that each link that they go to leads to credible information with a lot of supporting content.

You’re constantly reminding them that whatever it is that you’re offering, it is far superior to the other generic information you have shared in previous pages.

Eventually, you should lead your reader deep into the funnel of your blog or website. Because your ultimate goal is to sell your offer, right?
There’s a right way to ask for the sale and you do it with call to actions. You’ve seen them with those big colorful “click here” buttons. And that’s what you’ll want to make sure you do.
You present a content that has a lot of hot buttons with supporting information. You then call your reader to action by drawing a link between their purchase of the solution and the emotional payoff.
One of the best things you can implement is to have clear benefits that they personally get from the product. One of the most successful secrets is to have a bunch of bullets on your sales page within your funnel.
Each bullet representing how the visitor will benefit from your sevice and products. But there’s a trick to this, too. You’re going to make sure you show them what benefits they want and not what you think they want.
Let me explain… don’t ever think that what you’re selling will benefit your leads. Until you hear directly from your leads what they want, you’ll always be guessing. In online marketing the trick is to listen to your market and give them what they want.
The way to show them what your market wants is by writing a bunch of benefits in the form of bullets. This is how you’ll stir their emotions again and lead them into buying your product.
